The role – Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

 

  • Providing support to teachers and students helping them reach their full potential for SEND teaching and learning
  • Working with children with a wide range of needs and abilities
  • Providing support to staff, creating or sourcing resources
  • Meeting with outside agencies
  • Making referrals and completing/reviewing EHCP paperwork
  • Work closely with SLT and other agencies to develop the provision to SEND in the school
