A Secondary PRU in Greenwich, primarily for children with Autism and behaviour difficulties, is looking for an engaging and patient ASD Learning Support Assistant to provide academic and behavioural support for secondary-age children with a diagnosis of ASD or ASC. Main Responsibilities for an ASD Learning Support Assistant:
- Provide the best standard of care for children with a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, ASC and other SEN needs.
- Work 1:1 with students or in small groups to help with them with their studies.
- Working with the SENCo, the SEN team and the SLT to provide the best support and care for the children, creating an environment for them to flourish.
- Become a friendly and reliable face for students throughout the school.
As an ASD Learning Support Assistant, we are looking for:
- A First-Class degree in Psychology, Education or a related field from a Top 20 UK University.
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
- Resilience, fantastic interpersonal and communication skills, and a calm temperament.
- Aspirations to have a career in education or to become a psychologist.
- Dedication to providing the best education around.
