Mechanical Design Engineer
Derry/ Londonderry
40 Hours Monday to Friday (Flexi Time Available)
£30k-£35k + 28 Days Holiday (including Bank), Pension, Laptop

We are now looking for a dynamic Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate in what they do whilst using their own initiative to achieve key results. This individual will be driven and a team player working within your team to ensure the task is completed. You would be responsible for creating innovative solutions associated with machinery, mechanical handling and robot automation lines.
The Role
- Developing design concepts from initial to final vision
- Adhere to deadlines and budgets while managing the project
- Source components when needed, and develop relationships with suppliers
- Good commercial awareness, understanding markets and industries
- Produce documentation for internal and external customers
- Work with wider teams in engineering, project management, manufacturing and production
- Carry out ad hoc tasks to assist manager and team
- Attend regular project meetings
- Comply with ISO quality and environmental policies
Essential
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or related
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a design role (ideally industrial background)
- Ability to create CAD drawings
- SolidWorks knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Nice to have a background in robotics or automation
