Accounts Assistant | Loughborough | Temporary | £14 per hour | Hybrid Working

Macildowie is excited to present an opportunity for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and dynamic organisation. This is a 3-month temporary position offering hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days remotely) with a competitive hourly rate of up to £14 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and associated processes.
  • Resolve invoice queries efficiently, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain smooth payment workflows.
  • Manage and report cash collections, ensuring adherence to financial deadlines.
  • Maintain and reconcile control accounts and sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee ERP system data management, including customer accounts and credit terms.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the finance department.
  • Provide holiday/absence cover for team members and support ad-hoc projects as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: At least 3+ years in a finance role, preferably in credit control.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Key Attributes: Strong communication skills, organisational ability, and a flexible, results-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with finance functions and associated roles.
