Abstract Recruitment is proud to be hiring on behalf of our client, a leading generator specialist. Our client is a rapidly growing business providing solutions, maintenance, sales, and hire services across the UK, they are now looking for askilled and motivated Steel Platerto join their team.

Shift:

Monday to Thursday 07:00 AM -4:30 PM

Friday 07:00 AM-12:00 PM

Pay:

£16-£17.50

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut, shape, and assemblesteel plate components to exact specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprintsto ensure precise fabrication
• Use fabrication machinerysuch as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters
• Inspect and maintain quality standardsthroughout the production process
• Manipulate steel materialsusing furnaces or hand torches for shaping and bending
• Assemble and align componentsusing correct hand tools and measuring instruments
• Perform grinding, burning, and other fabrication tasksas required
• Create jigs and templatesfor repetitive tasks to maintain work consistency

What Were Looking For:

?Proven experiencein sheet metal fabrication and steel plating
?Ability to read and interprettechnical drawings and specifications
?Hands-on experiencewith drilling machines, rolling machines, guillotines, and power tools
?Attention to detailin quality control and inspection processes
?Competence in using fabrication toolssuch as grinders, cutters, and measuring instruments
?Strong mechanical knowledgeand understanding of steel metal fabrication processes
