We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Setter and Operator to join a well-known and respected manufacturer in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Paying an hourly rate between 12 and 15 depending on experience.
Rotating shift pattern 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm | Set shifts available 2pm - 10 pm

The Press Brake Setter and Operator will set up and operate press brake machines to produce precision metal components according to engineering specifications. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for bending, forming and shaping metal pieces according to specifications, whilst ensuring the safety and efficiency of the production process. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of press brake operations and be able to work with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal components.
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine the correct tooling and machine settings.
Select and install the appropriate tooling and dies on the press brake machine.
Program and adjust machine settings to achieve precise measurements and angles.
Monitor the machine's performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines and report any issues to the maintenance department.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and engineering teams to resolve any production issues.
Experience
Proven experience as a press brake operator in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Understanding of press brake operations and machine set up.
Ability to set up and program press brake machines for various metal thicknesses and shapes.
Experience working with engineering drawings.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and routinely lifting parts.
