Danaher & Walsh is a long-established civil engineering contractor operating across the Midlands, East Anglia and Lincolnshire, which is experiencing ongoing growth. Due to this increased level of business, an opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Assistant.

Job Specification:

  • Carry out various daily administrative tasks as requested and deal with various forms of communication, including letters, emails, teams calls and telephone calls.
  • Collate delivery notes for the weekly site returns, maintain the returns and any query resolutions via weekly meetings with site, monitor and report any missing delivery tickets.
  • To raise low value subcontract orders and payments as directed by the Quantity Surveyors.
  • To produce and retrieve reports for analysis and reporting.
  • To assist with identifying, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in absent data from the weekly returns.
  • Assist with audits of Project records via SharePoint.
  • Assisting with the completion of the sub contract authorisation form.
  • Provide support to other departments.
  • Manage all operations in accordance with the company's HR policies and procedures.
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner and maintain at all times the D&W corporate company image.

  • IT Literate as a minimum Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Experience

  • Experience in an administration role.
  • Previous experience within the Civil Engineering Industry would be an advantage

Qualifications

  • GCSE English & Math grade c or higher (Or equivalent)
  • Own Car with a full clean driving Licence.
  • None other as departmental training will be given albeit drive and enthusiasm and being a team player is essential.
