Location: Lutterworth

Shift: Monday - Friday (8:30am-5pm)
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 per annum

Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client locations both within the UK and internationally to conduct surveys, installations, and commissioning tasks.
  • Collect necessary data to design tailored engineering solutions.
  • Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD, ensuring proper revision control and documentation.
  • Generate and specify Bill of Materials (BOM) to facilitate the creation of purchase orders.
  • Assist with testing and troubleshooting control panels.
  • Gather relevant details to help compile installation manuals for clients.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and engineers to ensure systems and equipment meet project specifications.
  • Oversee contractors on-site, acting as the primary contact during installations.
  • Comply with health, safety, and quality management procedures and policies.

The Candidate:

  • Possess relevant qualifications in Engineering.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD software.
  • Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers.
  • Organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Adaptable to changes in scheduling requirements.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality work and ensuring projects meet satisfactory standards.
  • PLC and HMI awareness.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Competent in using basic Microsoft Office applications.
