Your new firmThismarket-leading and Top 100 regional accountancy practice is seeking to appointa new Client Manager into their Macclesfield office. This role has become available following an extended period of company growth, presenting an excellentopportunity for an ambitious client manager to join a busy team within a progressiveand growing independent firm. Your new roleIn your Client Manager job role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing an already established portfolio of clients, overseeing and preparing accounts for an array of sole traders, limited companies and partnerships, all with a varied range of turnovers.
  • Your portfolio will be sector agnostic, and you will produce statutory accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT returns.
  • Day-to-day duties will include taking an active role in training the more junior members within the firm and your direct team, where you will be responsible for line managing 1-2 members of staff.
  • You will be responsible for managing progress and billing targets, keeping both clients and Partners up to date at all times.
  • You will also be required to develop strong client knowledge and build strong client relationships, providing insightful advice and guidance.
  • Collaboration across the firm will be key to ensuring your clients receive the highest standard of service, and you must recognise opportunities to up-sell across other departments in the firm.
  • In time, you will be able to get involved in pitching for work, business development as well as attending networking events.

What you'll need to succeedThe firm is seeking a professional ClientManager who possesses a proven track record in servicing a large client portfolio. You will also have experience of managing and coaching juniors, providing on-the-job training and mentorship, to both your direct team and the wider Accounts team. You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with strong experience workingat a qualified level within practice.
