Home Counties (ideally around Slough, Amersham, Harpenden or close to M40/M4/M1)

What do we do?

Olympic Gymnasium Services supply and install sports and PE equipment in school gyms, and sports halls. We also carry out safety inspections, maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment of sports/PE/playground equipment and assault courses.

About the role:

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be on the front line of our operations, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining sports/PE/playground/assault course equipment to the highest safety standards, working at schools, colleges and military bases.

If you’re ready for the next step, we’re also looking for a Supervisor to lead a team, manage projects and training to ensure top-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment
  • Complete inspection reports, source parts and provide quotes
  • Work with colleagues to obtain parts and equipment to complete projects efficiently
  • Liaise with customers to deliver optimal solutions
  • Ensure equipment meets standards and Health and Safety regulations

As well as the above, the supervisor will:

  • Lead a team on large projects, ensuring high standards and timelines
  • Train and develop team members in reporting and site quality
  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and decisions
  • Ensure successful completion of installations and refurbishments

You will be required to stay away on occasional weekdays to minimise travel and work very occasional weekends during busy periods in school holidays and half terms.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • Practical experience in maintenance, fitting, or installation roles
  • Experience with equipment inspections and reporting
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and the ability to work at heights
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • A clean, valid driving license and DBS check
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship
  • PASMA certification is advantageous but not required

Supervisors will have the skills and experience to lead, train, and manage a team of engineers.
