Job Purpose
  • Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with the senior management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for Limited companies and Sole Traders
  • Preparation of accounts from core records, using FRS 105 and/or FRS 102
  • Preparation of and submission of VAT returns
  • Preparation of and processing of supplier payment runs
  • Manage cashbook, postings and reconciliations
  • Review expenses, purchase invoices and credit cards
  • Liaise with clients, building trusted relationships and proactively handling queries
  • Support junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting their professional development
  • Identify new processes and ways to increase efficiency
  • Research and interpret changes to taxation and accounting regulations
  • Champion your own professional development, regularly undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements
  • AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified, part-qualified or studying
  • A proven track record of managing a client portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant software, including MS Office, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • A team player who can also work autonomously
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong commercial awareness
