A growing manufacturing business is searching for a Product & Quality Manager in the greater Maidstone area.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring products are packed and dispatched in line with customer requirements, ensuring that required quality standards from customers are understood and maintained
  • Giving service providers and colleagues ongoing feedback on product quality to spearhead improvement, providing daily communications on quality issues
  • Supporting the decision making for daily production, weekly planning and agree weekly resourcing plan to take into consideration quality risk points
  • Communicating daily on quality issues with services providers
  • Overseeing the first packing for new lines and during the beginning of seasons to ensure product quality against customer requirements, as well as being present when service providers pack challenging stock
  • Undertaking quality inspections and risk assessments on packed products, reviewing packing and grading standards, raw material grade outs and reviewing effectiveness of intake reporting through spot checks
  • Conducting a site walk every day to ensure standards are maintained as well as reviewing old stock quality and making recommendations on product utilisation
  • Ensuring any issues caused by service provider failure such as handling or storage stock which result in added cost or quality compromise is recorded accurately with any support evidence
  • Supporting the preparation of samples and conducting trials as required
  • Supporting supplier and quality surveyor visits
  • Checking stock sheets daily to identify any errors or discrepancies
You MUST Have:Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Excellent experience within a Product Quality role
  • Exposure to a food manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to stock handling
  • Familiarity of requirements for quality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience handling risk assessments, incident reporting and inspections
