We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Year 6 Intervention Teacher in the Medway area to provide essential 1-2-1 support for children with challenging behaviour and in need of additional academic support. About the Role:
As a Year 6 Intervention Teacher, you will be working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support on a 1:1 basis for a child who has challenging behaviour and needs additional academic support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the child to support their academic, emotional, and social development.
- Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet the child's individual needs.
- Foster a positive and trusting relationship to encourage confidence and engagement in learning.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teacher and parents as required.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children or supporting individuals with challenging behaviour (preferred).
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- A commitment to helping every child succeed.
