Commissioning & Automation Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Malvern, Worcestershire

Salary: £28,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

Permanent, Monday - Friday (37.5 hours)

Full-Time position + Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Commissioning & Automation Engineer to join our client, a well-established leader in the automotive industry, known for creating advanced testing equipment and facilities that drive innovation in manufacturing cutting-edge propulsion systems.

In this role, you will commission and troubleshoot bespoke automation systems, including calibrating and setting up data acquisition, electrical, and mechanical components.

You will be responsible for:

  • Configuring and tuning automotive control systems (e.g., speed, torque, temperature).
  • Customising and configuring CADET V14 software for specific project requirements.
  • Integrating third-party hardware into test environments and performing test runs.
  • Conducting site-based fault finding, calibration, and maintenance visits.
  • Supporting customers and engineers with remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Ideally have degree in engineering, or other electrical qualification.
  • Solid electrical knowledge, including the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot issues.
  • Basic programming skills, ideally in C# or Visual Basic, with a willingness to enhance your industrial programming expertise.
  • Full UK driving license and eligibility to obtain appropriate business insurance.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Shifts:

  • Monday - Thursday: 10am - 4pm
  • Friday: 10am - 12pm
