Accountant

My client, a small start-up Accountancy Practice are looking for an Accountant to join their modern, dynamic team.  My client prides themselves on delivering a personal, fast paced, and trusted service to their clients, they are looking for an ambitious and motivated accountant who will progress with the business as they grow. As the business expands, the role will develop into a Managerial position.  Reporting to the owners of the business, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, including profit and loss and balance sheets, preparation and submission of tax returns (corporation tax, self-assessment, VAT), bookkeeping and management of client accounts. You will also offer advice and answer queries to clients on accounting and tax matters.  You will have strong technical knowledge and an understanding of accounting principles, with a keen eye for detail. The role is fully remote so you will be expected to take responsibility for your own work and work under your own initiative.  The successful candidate will be ACCA/ACA Qualified or Part Qualified, have Accountancy Practice experience and be proficient in using Xero.My client is offering a competitive salary, remote working, flexible working hours, pension and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
