A leader in the accountancy space is looking to invest in their Northwest team with the appointment of an audit semi-senior to join their team of accounting professionals. This job opportunity has arisen due to internal promotions across the firm.Your new roleIn this role you will be assisting the senior officer with the completion of audits across a range of interesting, challenging and complex clients. These will include local and fast-growing OMBs as well as the opportunity to work with international clients if this is something of interest.Day to day responsibilities includeInvolvement in the planning of the auditDelegating fieldwork to juniors and reviewing this workCompletion of whole sections of the audit pack including notes and queries for partners, directors and managersEnsuring work is completed within the timescale needed and liaising with senior management as to the progress of the auditWhat you'll need to succeedPrior experience working within an audit practice with exposure to the planning and field work stages of an audit processStudying for the ACA or ACCA accreditationsExperience with the following systems: Sage, Excel, Word and CaseWareExperience of supervising junior members of staff is advantageous.You will be joining a growing accountancy firm and with this the firm requires ambitious individuals to join the journey.
