Following our continued expansion, we have recently opened new offices in Pasadena, California, and are seeking a skilled Financial Controller / Manager to join our dynamic team in Manchester.

As the Financial Controller / Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for all financial control and accounting aspects. This includes general ledger, cost accounting, cash management, accounts payable/receivable, credit control, fixed assets, and payroll. You will play a crucial role in the operational accounting and long-term financial planning of the organization, supporting our global growth through strategic financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the CEO on strategic projects including revenue growth, cost control, profit optimization, and process improvements.
  • Oversee daily accounting and finance functions, ensuring efficiency and eliminating non-value-added activities.
  • Manage and review monthly closing activities and financial reporting for internal management.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements through meticulous attention to detail.
  • Provide strategic data interpretation and problem-solving in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting and liaise on financial statements.
  • Support global projects and analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or a related business field.
  • Extensive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a service-led organization.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software (or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities, documentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in lean business support principles and intercompany accounting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and the ability to maintain objectivity across all levels of the organization.
