Rolls-Royce SMR | Senior Financial Accountant | £80,000 - £95,000 | Manchester | Hybrid

We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Financial Accountant on behalf of Rolls-Royce SMR who are revolutionising an industry.

  • Lead and manage the processes to deliver key financial information, on a monthly basis, for the SMR business (c.£300m), for presentation to Executive team, Board and Shareholders.
  • Partner with the PMO team to ensure rigour in financial reporting used by the PMO team to report performance to key stakeholders providing financial diligence and managing the relationship.
  • Manage external relationship with auditors.
  • Lead on the statutory accounts process for Rolls-Royce SMR Limited, linking with auditors, Corporate Governance team and Shareholders, preparing accounts for presentation to Audit & Risk Committee and Board.
  • Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are undertaken, with reconciling items cleared on a timely basis.
  • Lead on implementing policy for capitalisation of R&D across the business.
  • Complete ONS returns for the business as required.
  • Lead on tax matters, including RDEC returns, Corporation tax, VAT, etc, liaising with external tax experts as required.

Pay and Benefits

Salary of between £80,000 - £95,000, plus:-

  • Bonus - Performance related bonus of up to 17%
  • Benefits Allowance - £5,000, enabling you to create a bespoke package
  • Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
  • Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days
