A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Compliance and Repair Surveyor to join their as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a compliance and regulation environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service through detailed technical regulatory knowledge, including interpretation, translation, and enforcement of all relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing advice and guidance on enforcing standards and regulating community activity.
  • Leading the delivery of Manchester City Council's statutory enforcement obligations.
  • Ensuring requests are addressed within designated timescales and quality standards.
  • Supporting internal and external customers with high-level compliance and regulatory expertise.
  • Maintaining competence in subject matter specialism, researching best practices.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • A legionella/mechanical safety-related qualification (e.g., HNC in Construction and the Built Environment).
  • Proven experience in a surveying role within housing.
  • Knowledge of public services and their structural, legislative, and policy contexts.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience of delivering high-quality services in a multi-site, complex environment.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering up to 35 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. 28 per hour PAYE).
