We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our clients dynamic team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing and coordinating the design process for high-profile construction projects across various sectors. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure design excellence, innovation, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulations.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to drive innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

• Review and approve design specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.

• Ensure design deliverables are met within project timelines and budgets.

• Identify and mitigate design risks while maintaining project quality and safety standards.

• Liaise with planning and building control authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Provide leadership to the design team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

• Support bid and tender submissions by reviewing and enhancing design proposals.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Design Manager in the construction sector.

• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning requirements, and industry standards.

• Experience managing design processes on large-scale commercial projects

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

• Proficiency in design management software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) is desirable.

• A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (RIBA, CIOB, ICE) is advantageous.
