About the Role As a QTS Outreach Tutor, you will work on a one-to-one basis with students who require additional support to achieve their full potential. These sessions will take place in the students home or a mutually agreed location, delivering bespoke lessons tailored to their needs. This temporary role is highly flexible, with hours ranging from 1 to 30 per week, allowing you to select morning, noon, or evening sessions that fit your schedule. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons in core subjects. Supporting students with diverse needs, including those with SEN. Monitoring progress and providing detailed feedback to parents, carers, or schools. Creating a safe and supportive learning environment. The duration of each assignment will vary based on the students needs. What Were Looking For Required Qualifications and Qualities: QTS or PGCE in a core subject (e.g., English, Maths, Science). A minimum of 1 year of UK teaching experience. The right to work in the UK. A current enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Desired Qualities: Experience working with children with SEN. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. The ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual needs.
