About the Role

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Whether you're looking for a long-term role or the flexibility of daily supply, we have opportunities that suit your experience and goals!

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with SEN, helping them navigate their academic and social development.

Support children with ASD through:

Visual Timetables: Helping pupils understand their daily routines and transitions.

Sensory Strategies: Implementing tools like sensory breaks, fidget toys, or calm corners to aid focus.

Clear Communication: Using visual aids, simple instructions, and structured routines.

Positive Reinforcement: Encouraging progress with consistent praise and rewards.

Assist teachers in creating and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to individual needs.

Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, fostering a safe and encouraging learning environment.

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting children with ASD (essential) and knowledge of other SEN needs (desirable).

A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's individual challenges.

A willingness to adapt strategies to meet the unique needs of each pupil.

Relevant qualifications in SEN support or teaching assistance (desirable but not essential).
