We are seeking a professional and personable Account Handler to join a small, dynamic specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity to service both new and existing clients across various products, including open market, e-traded, and insurer portal products.
The Account Handler Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers to retain accounts and support business growth.
- Manage new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ensure the accuracy of all documentation issued by insurers.
- Provide support to Account Executives with the preparation of new business and renewal reports.
- Cross-sell appropriate cover to existing clients and ensure internal systems are updated.
- Oversee invoicing, credit control, and follow up on overdue payments.
- Maintain a robust diary system to manage all client interactions.
Our Ideal Account Handler:
- Holds a broad experience in the commercial insurance sector, handling a wide range of products.
- Ideally has a Cert CII qualification (or working towards it).
- Proven experience managing clients with multiple policy portfolios.
- Solid knowledge of Property and Liability insurance, along with Professional Indemnity, Motor Trade, and Motor Fleet risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel; familiarity with Acturis is a plus!
- A strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Must be able to drive due to office location (based near the airport).
