Finance Manager | Global Company | Manchester (Hybrid) | Up to £60,000

Robert Half is excited to be partnering with a global company based in Manchester city centre, offering an exceptional opportunity for a newly qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant looking to take the next step in their career.

We are seeking an ambitious and proactive finance professional with strong leadership skills to manage a finance team effectively. Reporting to the Global Finance Director, you will play a vital role in delivering key financial insights, implementing best practices, and ensuring strong governance across the group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and produce management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Prepare detailed monthly finance reports with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and post month-end/year-end journals.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Monitor budgets, identify overspending, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage weekly cash flow reporting, forecasting, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely submission of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Prepare payroll files for external payroll processing.
  • Lead and develop the finance assistant and outsourced accounting support.
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Lead finance projects and initiatives.
  • Provide financial information to support year-end accounts.
  • Partner with internal departments to deliver financial insights and analysis.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Newly qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant with industry experience (preferably SME).
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring a finance team.
  • Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Xero or QuickBooks (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a deep understanding of accounting standards.
