Robert Half is collaborating with a progressive international company based in Manchester City Centre seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join their finance team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead critical financial reporting processes, support board requirements, and enhance intercompany financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory board presentations and group reporting packs, ensuring precision and compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with the Director of Regulatory Reporting and the Compliance team to ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings.
  • Intercompany Coordination: Develop and maintain robust processes for intercompany activities, including balance reconciliations and settlements.
  • Audit Support: Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits of the consolidated group, liaising with internal and external auditors.
  • Process Improvement: Operate within a stringent internal controls environment, identifying and recommending opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in cross-training initiatives and support ad-hoc projects as required, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA)
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting, preferably within a publicly traded company.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, with proficiency in accounting software (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
