As Head of Group Bids, you will lead the Group Bids team, managing the end-to-end bid process to secure new business and support client retention strategies.
You will play a key role in driving the organisation's growth by developing compelling, high-quality proposals and managing a range of complex opportunities.
This role will also involve establishing a group-wide bids function to support tenders across multiple companies within the wider group.
Day to Day
- Lead the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to submission and post-bid reviews.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Bids team to deliver high-quality proposals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create bespoke, client-centric bid responses.
- Drive continuous improvement across bid processes, content libraries, and internal systems.
- Develop and deliver compelling renewal strategies to support client retention.
- Provide strategic insights into bid outcomes, market trends, and business opportunities.
- Present bid proposals to both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
YOU?
- Proven experience leading bids teams within a fast-paced, commercial professional services environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing or mentoring teams.
- Commercially astute with a "win all bids" mindset.
- Experience within the healthcare, wellbeing, or counselling sectors is desirable but not essential.
