Job title: Senior HR ManagerReporting into: HR DirectorLocation: Greater ManchesterIn-office: Flexible, 3 days a week starting at 8.30amSalary: £40-55k per annum (dependent on experience)Our client, an FMCG Manufacturing company, is looking for a hands-on senior HR Manager with an FMCG Manufacturing background to take part in their journey of continuous business improvement. If you are innovative, adaptable, creative and resilient with the ability to influence and support colleagues and managers alike, we would like to hear from you.This is a great opportunity for someone to be part of a manufacturing company who are at a pivotal part of their growth, someone who can manage an HR team autonomously, who is CIPD level 5 qualified and has experience working within a manufacturing environment.This is an extremely flexible business, with a big heart and community based feel. This person will work alongside a very personable, experienced HR Director to drive through projects. Very busy role!Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the employee life cycle activities for all employees including assisting with talent acquisition, performance management, onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage the designing of the best recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Work closely with the L&D to deliver member and line manager training sessions related to relevant HR policies and procedures e.g., performance management, capability, discipline and grievance.
  • Develop a positive working environment, encouraging a proactive approach to people's wellbeing and leading the Wellbeing Forum initiatives.
  • Support on developing career pathways for employees and oversee the implementation of appropriate training and development programmes.
  • Strengthen our induction, recognition and retention activities and support associated projects.
  • Be responsible for and drive improvement in diversity, inclusion and engagement.
  • Advise and support on Employee Relations casework.
  • Provide general day to day HR support on operational issues.
  • Supporting Group HR Projects/Initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports on HR activities and project progress
  • Ensuring the continuous achievement of IIP standards in line with our already gained IIP accreditation.
  • Ensure the maintenance and development of effective personnel administration information and control procedures in order to provide timely and accurate Management
  • Actively review and revise as necessary payment and reward practice and systems throughout the operation in order to recruit, motivate and retain high calibre staff at all levels.
  • Ensure the operation meets statutory Health & Safety obligations through the initiation and communication of required policies and standards and the regular monitoring of adherence to ensure the requirements and standards are maintained.
  • Contribute, as a member of the Management Team, to the formulation and implementation of policies which will ensure the overall Business development.

Requirements:

  • CIPD qualified
  • Previous experience working within an FMCG Manufacturing company is non-negotiable
  • Proven experience in advising on complex ER matters - Experience in Talent Attraction, Retention, Employee Relations, workforce planning, employee engagement, payroll and people development.
  • People leadership experience. - Resilience, great influencing and communication skills.
  • Excellent Literacy and Numeracy (English/Maths GCE/GCSE 'C' Equivalent)
  • Excellent Word Processing Skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Strong Communications skills as the Job Holder will be required to communicate at all levels within and out with the business
  • Well organized and methodical to cope with the differing management disciplines.
  • Positive and flexible attitude as the Job Holder will be required to undertake a variety of jobs
  • Experience within an FMCG HR department
  • Experience of working with unions
