We are seeking an HR Business Partner for a leading organisation based in Manchester. This interim role for 12 months, involves working collaboratively as part of both the people and culture team and the leadership team. The successful candidate will provide HR expertise to improve individual and business performance through proactive and responsive business partnering and the development and implementation of people plans, projects, and initiatives.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver a comprehensive HRBP service across designated business areas aligned to the HRBP framework and in line with corporate strategy and values.
  • Develop and implement functional people plans.
  • Provide advice to management on transformational change management initiatives.
  • Offer managers case management advice and guidance on disciplinary and grievance, capability, performance, and attendance.
  • Ensure HR policies are monitored, updated, and reviewed in accordance with legislative changes and organisational culture, values, and behaviour.
  • Support job evaluation and pay benchmarking.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide accurate management information for board reports.
  • Coach and mentor managers at all levels to develop their confidence and capability.
  • Support Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong track record in Employee Relations / Casework, including disciplinary and grievance, capability, performance, and attendance.
  • Good knowledge of employment law.
  • Substantial experience in all aspects of employee relations.
  • Experience in developing business people plans.
  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in delivering projects or initiatives in areas such as reward and recognition, employee engagement, TUPE, payroll & pensions, change management, occupational health, employee surveys, health and wellbeing, policy development, and consultation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
