A busy public sector organisation dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment, currently seeking a skilled HR Business Partner with a strong focus on employee relations to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role provides the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's HR operations and support their current organisational goals.

Role Purpose:

Provide HR expertise relating to Complex Employee Relations cases (predominantly disciplinary and grievances), providing a high level of support to managers, identifying skills gaps and providing the relevant coaching and upskilling.

As HR Business Partner, you will build strong trusted relationships with managers within your directorate and make a direct contribution from day one.You will improve performance through proactive business partnering, coaching and training, and once imbedded support with the implementation of people plans, projects, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance cases.
  • Ensure people policies are regularly monitored, reviewed, and updated in accordance with legislative changes and organisational values
  • Use data insights to suggest improvements.
  • Deliver HR training for managers and teams.
  • Coach and mentor managers.
  • Ensure Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in HR policies.

Requirements:

  • Chartered CIPD status.
  • A strong track record in managing complex employee relations casework.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Experience supporting & coaching leaders and managers.
  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders.
  • Experience of delivering HR projects and initiatives.
