Interim People Partner - HR Professional (Retail/Operations Focus)

Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in business partnering within operations, ideally in a retail or similar environment? We are looking for a true interim People Partner to join a fast-paced, dynamic organisation on an interim basis.

The client is a well-established and reputable organisation within the leisure sector, recognised for its dynamic and fast-paced environment. They are a forward-thinking business with a strong commitment to growth and operational excellence, operating across multiple sites nationwide. The company is currently driving key strategic initiatives, including new site openings and operational improvements, which require experienced HR support. They value partnership and collaboration, seeking someone who can work closely with senior operational leaders and act as a trusted advisor. Their culture emphasises talent development, succession planning, and creating recognition programmes to foster a positive and engaging workplace for their teams.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with area managers and senior operational leaders (Head of Ops, Ops Director), across a national remit
  • Support the operational teams with key initiatives, such as new site openings, recruitment, succession planning, talent development programs, and recognition initiatives
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations (ER) matters and risk management for various projects
  • Act as a trusted partner to the leadership team, offering strategic HR guidance to enhance the overall business performance
  • Manage multiple sites, ensuring HR strategies are tailored and effective across different locations

Profile

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven HR business partnering experience in a retail operations, or multi-site environment
  • Ability to hit the ground running and provide impactful support from day one
  • Strong experience in supporting large-scale projects, talent management, and operational change
  • Ability to work onsite 2-3 days a week, with some travel involved
  • Immediate availability to start within the next week
  • Leisure, hospitality or similar sector experience.
