Service Desk Engineer|£24,000 - £26,000 | Manchester (Hybrid)
One of the leading Fintech companies in Manchester are looking to add to their Service Desk Squad. This role offers great benefits, a good working environment, great progression and a varied day2day. The role itself is very varied.
- 1st Line Support - Dealing with clients directly and helping with initial support
- Technical Analysis
- Direct client contact
- UI Testing
- Implementation
- Operational tasks
- Troubleshooting and resolution of IT issues
Salary is flexible but around £24k-£26k basic.
The right person for this role is a mixture between technical and personable. As you will be the initial point of contact to clients, building both rapport and helping them with their technical issues.
This role is within the Fintech space, and allows for multiple progression routes. Be that into a more technical 2nd line support role, where you can focus more on Data/SQL. Or into a full implementation consultant. Or a route into product ownership/management.

Skills Needed
- IT Technical skills
- Some knowledge of Fintech will be beneficial - BACS, Swift etc
- Customer Service & Communication skills
- Similar Service Desk or 1st line role would be helpful
- Some experience with platforms like Jira or Zendesk so you understand ticketing and project management will be useful
As this is a support role, the core hours will be weekdays Mon-Fri, working on a shift rota covering between 8am-6pm. And include out of hours support at an increased hike to salary.
