Senior Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading UK multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit a talented Senior Town Planner to join their growing northern team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an award-winning team of planning and environmental experts, contributing to a diverse and stimulating project portfolio, which includes infrastructure, sustainable development, renewable energy, and industrial projects, among others.

We're looking for an experienced planner with a relevant degree and ideally MRTPI Chartership. Candidates with experience in the EIA process or those with a solid background in strategic planning and policy development are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a range of town planning projects, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national policies.
  • Provide expert guidance on planning applications, master planning, site development, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive solutions for both public and private sector clients.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear and strategic planning advice.
  • Successfully manage planning applications, appeals, and policy submissions.
  • Mentor junior planning staff, supporting their professional growth and development.
