Position Overview:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dispute Resolution Partner to join a highly regarded boutique law firm in the heart of Manchester. This is an exceptional chance for a Senior Associate or Junior Partner with at least 6+ years PQE in dispute resolution to take the next step in their career and assume a key leadership role in a growing practice.The firm is known for providing expert, tailored legal services to a diverse range of clients, from individuals to businesses, across various industries. With a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions, this firm offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, alongside the opportunity to develop both professionally and commercially.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied and complex caseload of commercial disputes, including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, construction, and employment matters.
  • Take a leading role in business development, identifying opportunities for growth within the firm's dispute resolution offering and expanding the client base.
  • Provide strategic guidance and tactical advice to clients at senior levels, including boardroom advice and risk management strategies.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior lawyers and support staff within the team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
  • Work closely with the firm's partners on cross-departmental matters, contributing to the firm's overall strategy and growth.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to clients, building long-term relationships and driving client retention and satisfaction.
  • Maintain and enhance the firm's reputation within the legal community, including networking, attending industry events, and representing the firm at external engagements.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6+ years PQE in dispute resolution, with a proven track record of handling complex commercial disputes.
  • Strong technical expertise across a wide range of dispute resolution areas, ideally including litigation, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Experience at a senior associate or partner level within a reputable law firm, with the ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • A passion for business development and growing a practice, with a proven ability to generate new business opportunities.
  • A proactive, commercial mindset and the ability to navigate high-pressure situations with confidence.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals.
