A highly regarded Manchester-based law firm is seeking a Housing Disrepair Fee Earner to join their expanding team. This opportunity allows candidates to become part of a well-established firm with a strong reputation in Housing Litigation and significant growth potential for career advancement with hybrid & flexible working available Role Overview: As a Housing Disrepair Fee Earner, the successful candidate will manage a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated Housing Disrepair matters from start to finish. This role involves working on cases from inception through to completion, ensuring high-quality client service and efficient case handling. 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Housing Disrepair Pre-Action Protocol and relevant legislation (e.g., Landlord & Tenant Act).
  • Draft Letters of Claim and collate special damages.
  • Assess liability through housing records and surveyor reports.
  • Handle negotiation, settlement, mediation, and court proceedings as needed.
  • Use Proclaim software effectively, ensuring adherence to business policies.
  • Maintain clear and effective client communication throughout the case.
 Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Housing Disrepair is preferred; however, candidates from other legal areas looking to retrain are welcome, provided they have litigation experience and familiarity with Proclaim case management software.
  • Ability to handle a full caseload with attention to detail and efficient time management.
