Senior Conveyancing Legal Assistant

Manchester City Centre (Hybrid)

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Conveyancing Legal Assistant has become available at an award winning Law Firm based in Manchester City Centre.


The Senior Conveyancing Legal Assistant will work alongside the Partners and Team coordinating operational excellence and ensuring an outstanding client experience. This will include both Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property matters. You will have the opportunity to progress to having your own caseload with supervision from an expert.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Client Liaison: communication with clients effectively, providing updates, obtaining information to facilitate legal processes, maintaining accurate and organised records
  • File Management: overseeing the progression of files to quality standards, working to deadlines, adhering to legal requirements and identifying potential risks, use of industry specific software
  • Drafting legal documents: preparing documentation including contracts and transfer documents
  • Stakeholder Management: liaising with third parties effectively to ensure the timely progression of files and provide a high quality conveyancing service
  • Professional Development: staying updated on best practice, attending training and being responsible for your own personal development

Requirements:

  • Prior experience: 3+ years experience within Residential Conveyancing and/or Commercial Property as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Paralegal
  • Legal expertise:Good knowledge and relevant experience of conveyancing procedures
  • Attention to detail:Meticulous attention to detail, conducting precise searches, and ensuring compliance with complex legal requirements.
  • Communication skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively liaising with all parties involved in a clear and professional manner.
  • Organisational skills:The ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and prioritise workload.
  • Team ethics:The successful candidate must be able to work well as part of a team and get on well with others, as well as using their own initiative.
  • Customer service:Excellent customer service skills to manage client expectations, address enquiries, and provide regular updates on transaction progress.


This is a full time opportunity based in Manchester City Centre. The firm operate within a hybrid working model. Salary is negotiable and will be experience dependent.
