The Role: To generate and manage social media marketing activity across all platforms, focusing on engagement and product-promotion. You will hold operational budgets, liaise with product category managers and instruct the Society’s agencies/suppliers as well as leading the social media strategy, conducting market analysis and coordinating SEO. Another key part of the role is managing social media initiatives with affiliate organisations, food product manufacturers, retailers, influencers and stakeholders etc.
The Ideal Candidate will be an accomplished B2C marketer with a strong digital/social emphasis and minimum two years’ successful experience in a corresponding role. Candidates from a similar ethical or 'cause-related’ marketing background would be of particular interest. A vegetarian or vegan candidate is definitely preferred.
You will most likely be a graduate in marketing, digital media or communications (or perhaps the holder of a CIM Diploma) and have strong practical social media skills across all the major platforms, in addition to being adept at analytics, metrics and KPI reporting etc. A flair for design and creativity is also required as well as a natural attention to detail, the ability to multitask under pressure and habitually hit deadlines. Prior experience using Adobe Creative Suite would be an added advantage.
The role can be conducted from home or hybrid, with approx’ one day per week office attendance (in central Manchester) for meetings etc - although this could ultimately rise, dependent on the future development of the role and the organisation.
