Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the team at North Manchester General Hospital. This role involves working on an acute medical ward, using expertise to assess and treat patients, contributing to their recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients on the acute medical ward.
- Develop and implement individualized care and rehabilitation plans.
- Use advanced clinical reasoning to make professional judgments in complex and challenging situations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Support patient discharge planning and facilitate a smooth transition to community care where applicable.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to trust policies.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Proven experience working in an acute medical ward setting.
- Strong ability to use advanced clinical reasoning for professional judgments.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
