Manchester City Council is seeking a dedicated Response Installation Officer to join our Community Alarm team. This role is crucial in supporting individuals to remain safe and independent in their homes by monitoring and responding to health and safety alerts.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Monitor and respond to activation alerts from customer’s equipment within agreed service guidelines and targets.
  • Communicate efficiently and courteously with customers to assess their needs and respond appropriately to various situations using initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Install, maintain, and collect approved equipment in customers' homes, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Collaborate with customers, their families or nominated contacts, colleagues, stakeholders, health, and emergency services to enhance safety and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential data management on appropriate computer systems.
  • Facilitate customer feedback and assist in identifying solutions to improve service delivery, reporting any service or safety compromises to a line manager immediately.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Physically fit and healthy, as the role may involve assisting service users.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different shifts including nights and weekends.
  • Experience in a similar role or environment would be advantageous.
