Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

Salary: 90-105 per day

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a thriving primary school in Blackley, Manchester. Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other additional needs.
Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning activities.
Support children with their social, emotional, and academic development.
Use a range of communication strategies, such as Makaton, PECS, and visual timetables, to assist pupils with their learning.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support each child's development.
Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring pupils feel safe and valued.
Provide personal care when required (e.g., toileting support, feeding assistance).
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role, preferably within an SEN setting.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is highly beneficial.
A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
