Job Description:

As a Business Development Manager specialising in the freight industry, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing strategies to achieve our business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities in the freight industry.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored freight solutions.
  • Negotiate and close deals with potential clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar role in the freight or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the freight industry, including market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
