Progress Facilitator - Offender Learning

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Programme.

The CFO know that people with strong foundations in place to make a success of their lives are less likely to re-offend.

The aim is to help hard-to-reach individuals prepare for engagement with core prison services and their eventual release.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Providing advice, guidance, coaching, mentoring, and support to participants through regular one-on-one meetings and group interventions.
  • Offer continuous resettlement support.
  • Delivery of group sessions.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging group sessions to motivate participants to attend and complete their activities.
  • Monitor and track participants' progress, including through reviews, to ensure high attendance, achievement rates, and progression.
  • Provide participants with structured feedback and set development objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal colleagues and other agencies providing ongoing and pre-release support.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with disadvantaged individuals, such as ex-offenders or those disaffected by mainstream services.
  • Experience in training, guidance, advice, pastoral support and counselling.
  • Ability and confident to deliver workshops on a one-to-one basis and group basis.
  • A warm and approachable character, who can work with empathy to build relationships with participants.
  • Understanding of the issues impacting the rehabilitation of offenders.
