About the Role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Afterschool Club Assistant to join our nursery and primary school team. Our Afterschool Club provides children with a fun and engaging environment after school, offering a healthy snack and a variety of activities in a safe and supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome children and families as they arrive at the club.
- Prepare and serve nutritious snacks, catering to dietary needs and preferences.
- Supervise and engage children in play, creative activities, and group games.
- Ensure the club area is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Support children’s well-being, promoting positive social interactions and a relaxing environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and carers.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children, preferably in a nursery, school, or childcare setting.
- Be warm, approachable, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s development.
- Understand basic food hygiene and health and safety requirements (training can be provided).
- Be a team player, adaptable, and reliable.
- Hold a valid DBS check or be willing to undergo one.
