Are you an experienced Mechanics Tutor looking for work in Mansfield?

Winner Education are seeking for a Mechanics Group Tutor to work in an independent special educational needs school who are market leaders in alternative provisions in East Midlands. This role is a full-time permanent position to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate must have previous experience with children and strive to ensure each child can achieve their true potential.

 

SALARY: Up to £26,000 (actual)

LOCATION: Mansfield, Nottingham

HOURS: Full time (Monday – Friday), term time only

START DATE: ASAP

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum
  • Use a collaborative and multi-agency holistic approach to delivering an education curriculum which includes attention to health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people
  • Support the delivery of all levels of course, within the creative digital department and engage with clients in the ongoing completion of commercial projects
  • Encourage family involvement in the decision making and the management of pupil programmes
  • Assist with the assessment, preparation, delivery and review of a learner’s curriculum including contributions to schemes of work and lesson plans
  • Offer a variety of approaches and opportunities to focus on an engagement with learning.
  • Inform the designated Provision Manager of any accidents or identified risks
  • Support the Provision Manager in the collection and collation of pupil information including learner profiles, pen pictures, risk management procedures and special educational needs and suitably differentiate your delivery to meet the identified needs.
  • Support the Provision Manager with all assessments, pupil tracking documents, progress reports and feedback reports to commissioning bodies e.g. Education, Health and Care plans, KS3 & KS4 transition planning, and post 16 opportunities.

 

The successful Mechanics Group Tutor must:

  • Be flexible and innovative
  • Have previous SEMH experience
  • Previous tutoring/assessor/teacher experience
  • Trained to Level 2 or 3 in Automotive or Bodywork
  • Demonstrate experience of working with and developing effective resources for young people with additional needs
  • Demonstrate the passion to ensure each school develops a positive impact on each child
  • Have previous experience working in a SEND or alternative provision school
  • Be inspirational and empower learners, especially those with complex needs and SEN
  • Provide an environment which will make a real difference to the lives of young people
  • Hold key values and ethos of Trust, Innovation and Achievement
