Long Term Futures is excited to partner with a secondary school in Shirebrook, Mansfield, to recruit passionate and driven Academic Tutors in English or Maths. You will provide small-group tutoring to Year 11 students, helping them prepare for their upcoming GCSE exams. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to make a direct impact on students' academic progress and exam performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide focused tutoring sessions in English or Maths to small groups of Year 11 students in preparation for GCSE Examinations.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet varying academic abilities.
  • Collaborating with subject teachers to develop effective strategies for student improvement.
  • Identify gaps in student learning, provided focused tuition in these areas.
  • Use a variety of strategies to engage students with different learning styles.

The schools are looking to appoint someone who:

  • A qualification in English/Maths, or QTS is desirable but not essential.
  • Have experience in providing tutoring to small groups of students.
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • An Enhanced DBS is a requirement for this role (we can support with this).
