The Company:

A role has become available to work as a Production Manager for an engineering company which provides state of the art one off technological and engineering resolutions for worldwide aerospace companies and other industries.

You will be responsible for the delivery of company objectives within the Business Group through the rigorous applications

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a supportive environment and a workplace that challenges, inspires and creates the conditions conducive to learning.
  • Day to day management of workshop staff, participants, volunteers and makers.
  • Assist in the planning, designing and delivering of new products and programmes.
  • Manage quality issues in all aspects of production, workshop operation in line with codes of practice
  • Maintenance of all tools, equipment, fixings, PPE and similar goods within a budget.
  • Oversee production of orders and commissions, and ensure the accurate and timely completion.
  • Take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health and safety
  • Weekly inspection tours of workshop premises.
  • Carry out and keep accurate records of all health and safety procedures and maintenance in the Workshop.

The Candidate:

  • Happy to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfortable with change and driving a flexible approach to working.
  • Planning and organisational skills to be able run and monitor the production process
  • Experience within a similar role
  • 5S Training and Lean Sigma
  • The ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems
