Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a Local Authority in Derbyshire on the hire of a Development Management Team Leader (Grade 11). This is a full-time and permanent position (37 hours per week). Hybrid working is in play with the ability to work from home 2-3 days per week.

This position includes a £2,000 welcome payment (t's and c's apply) and a grant of up to £6,000 may be available via a relocation assistant scheme!

The main purpose for this role is to provide professional planning leadership and day to day operational management to staff within the Development Management Section whilst maintaining an operational case load of predominantly major planning case work.

This position would be ideal for an experienced Principal Planning Officer looking for the next step in their career, or an existing Development Management Team Leader working with another Local Authority.

Requirements to apply

-A relevant Town Planning qualification or a related discipline

-MRTPI

-Substantial Development Management experience

-Staff management experience

-Effective communicator

-Driving Licence and ability to visit sites throughout the council's area.
