About the SEN School
This SEN School is an independent special day school catering to students aged 6 to 19 years with a range of profound, moderate, and severe learning disabilities (PMLD, MLD, SLD), including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and complex medical needs.
They provide a specialist learning environment that supports students in managing sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficulties with transitions. They facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, outdoor learning spaces, and a dedicated therapeutic team that collaborates with staff to deliver a child-centered curriculum.
As a growing school, They are seeking an Unqualified SEN Teacher to join our NAS-accredited team and help improve life chances and outcomes for our students as they prepare for adulthood.
Your Role as an Unqualified SEN Teacher
In this role, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons: Create and implement a meaningful, high-quality curriculum tailored to meet the needs of each student in your class.
- Inspire learning and development: Stretch and challenge students to help them achieve their potential.
- Collaborate effectively: Work closely with our established team, including teaching assistants and the therapeutic team, to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
- Support holistic development: Participate in personal care routines and physical interventions when necessary, fostering an inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking candidates who:
- Have a working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations.
- Demonstrate experience or understanding of SEN education, particularly sensory-led curriculums.
- Possess strong teamworking skills and can contribute positively to our supportive environment.
- Exhibit diligence in assessing, reporting, and recording student progress.
- Are confident in leading and directing other adults working in the classroom.
