Hays are working exclusively with a rapidly growing organisation who are looking for a part-time Accounts Assistant to join their team,
Your new role
The successful candidate will assist in the smooth running of the office accounts. You must be customer-focused and able to accurately record personal data and banking information while adhering to business processes and procedures. This varied role involves working on livestock and market accounts, assisting section managers with their P&Ls, and managing financial reporting. You will work closely with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate information is provided, enabling the business to run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Assist in the smooth running of office accounts.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proactive positive attitude and determination to succeed.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office 365 and Xero accounting software.
  • Experience of improving internal business systems and processes.
  • AAT or equivalent accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Maintain accurate computer and physical records.
  • Trustworthy and able to work on their own initiative.
  • Able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Pragmatic, lateral thinking, and solution-driven.
  • Able to collate information and present it appropriately.
  • Degree educated or of equal graduate calibre.
