The Personal and Social Development Lecturer will be responsible for supporting young learners aged 14-16 who have been home-educated with their transition to college.Main Duties of the Personal and Social Development Lecturer:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that address various aspects of personal and social development, aligned with the NCFE L1/E3 Certificate in Personal and Social Development.
  • Provide individual guidance and support to help students develop their skills in IT, communication, teamwork, following instructions, and time management.
  • Encourage students to reflect on their newfound knowledge and apply it to their personal and academic goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other program staff to ensure a seamless transition for students from home education to college.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience working with young learners, particularly those who have been home-educated although not essential
  • Strong understanding of personal and social development principles and theories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Passion for helping young people succeed in their academic and personal endeavours.
