Reed Accountancy is partnering with a highly reputable organisation to find an Interim Payroll Manager for a 6-9 month contract in Teesside, starting ASAP.What makes this role so great?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organisation's payroll function
  • Deliver an effective and flexible payroll service, including payments to colleagues, board members, external agencies, and other customers
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and other deductions to external agencies, including pension providers and HMRC, in accordance with internal and statutory regulations
  • Manage a team of 3 to ensure all payroll transactions are processed with high attention to detail and meet strict deadlines

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Quickly and confidently integrate into the company culture and adapt their payroll processes with minimal training
  • Have experience managing payroll services and statutory deductions
  • Hold a CIPP qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Possess knowledge of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pensions and taxation regulations related to payroll
  • Be proficient in iTrent payroll software
  • Develop and manage a customer-driven service and ensure continuous improvement
